Cisco 200-901 is a 120-minute certification exam that leads to the award of the Cisco Certified DevNet Associate credential. Application Deployment & Security: 15%. This topic area requires an understanding of the following concepts:
- Advantages of edge computing;
- Application deployment models, including edge, public Cloud, private Cloud, and hybrid Cloud;
- Application deployment types, including virtual machines, bare metal, and containers;
- CI/CD pipeline;
- DNS, firewall, reverse proxy, and load balancers;
- OWASP threats, including CSRF, XSS, and SQL injections.
Infrastructure & Automation: 20%. This aim covers concepts, such as.
- Network simulation & test tools such as pyATS and VIRL;
- Automation tools, such as Ansible, Chef, Cisco NSO, and Puppet;
- RESTCONF and NETCONF query;
- YANG model;
- API calls;
- Unified diff.
Network Fundamentals: 15%. The candidates must develop the skills and understanding of the following concepts:
- Usage of MAC addresses & VLANs;
- IP addresses, subnet mask, prefix, gateway, and routes;
- The functionality of some IP Services, including DHCP, NTP, SNMP, NAT, and DNS;
- Application connectivity issues, such as NAT problem, Proxy, VPN, and Transport Port blocked.
Cisco 200-901 Exam Preparation

Cisco recommends that the candidates take the official training course – Developing Applications & Automating Workflows using Cisco Core Platforms. It is offered through the authorized learning partners of Cisco across the world. This classroom training has not yet been released but it will be available before the start of the test on February 24, 2020.
